BOISE vs. PORTLAND

So I went on a business trip Wednesday and Thursday of this week and guess where I went......if you guessed BOISE, you're right. Now I don't know if I just flew in on a random perfect day or if 'ol Boise always has the appeal of a thousand shinny diamonds, but I gotta admit I was struck by how scenic it was. The streets were wide and clean. The mountains were 'a stones throw away' and covered in a blanket of snow. The trees were strong and leafy green and there seem to be secret little lakes and streams with no shortage of ducks and ducklings. Boise had dazzeled me (very much to my shock!!) I began to think Boise might be some hidden gem, but then in the evening in my hotel room without the distracting beauty and shine of the city I began to remember home...

Portland is the sensai of hidden beauty. If you've ever had the chance to drive into the city...over the river... just as the sun goes down...you know what I'm talkin' about, Oranges, Reds, Blues and Greens all 'Thundercats GO!!!' it's A-mazing..Portland was born beautiful and unique. With these emerging thoughts of home, I began to doubt my feelings for Boise. Portland is beauty!!! and even though Boise is a great city, the one thing your have to remember, (which I kid you not, COMPLETELY slipped my mind until it was pointed out to me tonight) is that Boise 'gem of a city' is in Idaho, that's right Boise is in IDAHO, ("I'm in Delaware")...Be careful of the dazzle of pretty cities...they may just be random beauty in an otherwise 'interesting' state!!! I've been dazzled once before by a little place called San Antonio...the River Walk??FANTASTIC, The Alamo ('sorry San Antonio not that neat, but forgivable)...it's most major set back....it's in the United Republic of TEXAS...that's a place for visitin' only!!!!

The 'Fashionsphere' is all a twitter about mixing patterns - but the faithful followers know that Dos Redheads have been rockin' this for months, nay, years. Just another reason why Dos Redheads are the most under appreciated fashionistas in the land. Keep an eye out for our next revelation...

And FYI - we are warming up to 'navy blue' (after a long bit of 'OVER it') but we're getting very disgruntled with 'Chocolate Brown' & Kerry's unfavorite close kin to the Chocolate, 'Brown Bear'. It's time to retire it, ladies. Trust. 99% over it.

So I got together with the girls last night and I post this picture NOT to show how we look these days, but to brag that even though Lolly is in heeled boots I am still the tallest, it's my one victory over my AWEsome friends let me have it people!
